Inter are at risk of missing out on Valencia left-back Jesus Vazquez, as Torino stepped up their pursuit of him with a view to a January transfer.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Granata have spotted an opportunity to move ahead of Inter for the Spaniard and sent assistant sporting director Emiliano Moretti to scout him during a recent friendly against Clermont.

Vazquez has fallen out of favour at Valencia and is keen to leave the club, with coach Gennaro Gattuso unconvinced by him, and the defender wants to make a switch in the winter transfer window.

Indeed, Torino have been tracking him with a view to signing him in January, and are ready to submit an offer of €3 million for the 19-year-old.

However, Valencia are set to hold out for at least €4m for Vazquez, but Torino’s interest is reported to be firm and they are keen to pursue him for the second half of the season.
