Inter will make a decision on whether or not to extend striker Romelu Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea for next season in the spring.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will make their assessment based on how the 29-year-old plays over the remainder of the current campaign.
Lukaku is set to be back in action for Inter from January onwards.
The Belgian is fully recovered from the thigh injury that had ruled him out of the majority of the season so far, and the hope is that he is able to reach full fitness and match-sharpness during the remainder of the campaign.
If this is indeed the case, then there is little question that Inter will aim to extend the Belgian’s loan from Chelsea, albeit at a renegotiated loan fee.
If, however, Lukaku does not find form, then the Nerazzurri would likely decline to extend his loan.
