Inter have been impressed by the attitude shown by goalkeeper Andre Onana since his return from the World Cup, where he endured a fallout with the Cameroonian national team.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 26-year-old’s demeanour and motivation in training have shown no signs of a World Cup hangover.
Onana announced today that he has left the Cameroon national team, another chapter in a story of controversy and acrimony that has been unfolding since the World Cup, where he was dropped from the team following disagreements with coach Rigobert Song.
There would have been some doubt at Inter as to whether the 26-year-old could fully get his mind back to his club to prepare for the return of the Serie A, given the stress of what has been happening with his national team.
However, according to Tuttosport, the club feel that the same Onana as ever has returned to training, and there is little worry within the Nerazzurri that his performance levels will drop off.
