Boca Juniors goalkeeper Agustin Rossi would be open to joining Inter, although he would not want to accept a backup role.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old Argentine would expect to make the move to a club where he would be able to fight for the starting spot in goal.

Rossi has been one of the names linked with Inter as a replacement for captain Samir Handanovic should he leave at the end of his contract in the summer.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave Boca Juniors at the end of his current contract, which expires at the end of June 2023.

A number of clubs in both the Americas and in Europe are interested in signing Rossi on a free transfer.

According to FCInterNews, as far as the interest from Inter is concerned, Rossi’s representatives have expressed total openness to a possible move, but the player would expect to have the opportunity to fight for a starting place and not be an automatic backup option.
