It would be difficult for Inter to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram during the January transfer window, but not impossible.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri have already held several meetings with the 25-year-old’s representatives, and plan to do so again in the next few days.

Thuram has emerged as one of Inter’s top transfer targets, either for the summer on a free transfer, or next month for a transfer fee.

The player’s representatives have communicated a willingness on his part to join, as he would be interested in coming to Serie A and is a fan of their project.

The most recent meeting between Inter and Thuram’s representatives came shortly after the World Cup, and the club are planning for another soon.

The Nerazzurri are hoping that the next one or two meetings can be decisive, and have not completely given up on bringing Thuram in in January.
