Inter’s directors are keen on bringing Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao to the Nerazzurri next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta & Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are hoping to sign the Brazilian for around €10-12 million.

Becao’s performances on the right of a back three have convinced Inter that he could be the right option to complete their defensive depth.

The 26-year-old would be signed more to add another option on the right rather than as a player for the starting eleven.

According to the Gazzetta, Udinese are hoping to extend Becao’s contract, which currently expires at the end of June 2024, a further season.

The Friulani’s aim would be to sell the former CSKA Moscow defender for around €20 million.

However, should Becao decline to extend his contract until the end of June 2025, the Nerazzurri sense an opportunity to sign him for less than that, around €10-12 million, given that he would be one season away from the end of his contract next summer.
