Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani may have made the switch to the Nerazzurri from Empoli during the summer, but this does not mean that the 20-year-old does not still feel a connection with the Tuscan club.
On Monday evening, Asllani met his old side for the first time as an opponent in Serie A, with the Albanian having come on as a substitute during the second half as his current team fell to a disappointing 1-0 loss to halt their progress in Serie A.
The midfielder posted on his Instagram account to look back on the importance of Empoli to his development.
He captioned the post, “Never forget where you came from.”
