AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available for the Rossoneri in this weekend’s Serie A derby clash with Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the 41-year-old Swede is instead targeting a return from knee surgery in the Rossoneri’s next Serie A match against Torino.

Ibrahimovic has been out for the entirety of the season so far, as the Swede has continued to recover from knee surgery which he received to treat a long-term injury that he had been carrying last campaign.

The former Nerazzurri, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain man is getting closer and closer to returning to the pitch, according to the Corriere della Sera.

However, Ibrahimovic will not be fit in time to play in the derby, the newspaper reports.

Rather, the Swede will hope to be ready to be in the squad for Milan’s clash with Torino the following weekend, and for their Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur this month.
