Inter are in no particular hurry to make a decision as to whether or not to try and extend the loan of striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea past the end of the current season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta and President Steven Zhang will take plenty of time as they assess whether or not the Belgian has a longer-term future at the club.

Over the next four months or so, Inter will have to make a decision regarding whether or not they want to keep Lukaku past the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri’s decision on whether or not to try and negotiate a new loan deal with Chelsea for next season will be based around how the 29-year-old performs over the rest of the current campaign.

According to the Corriere, however, the Nerazzurri will not rush a decision, and will follow the striker’s progress for the next few weeks and calmly make a decision.
