Inter are aiming to immediately accelerate the contract extension talks with defender Alessandro Bastoni after they wrap up talks with midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 23-year-old is the next priority after a new deal with Calhanoglu is made official.
Inter do not want to waste any time in contract extension talks with either Calhanoglu or Bastoni, as they would like to have extension to the players’ respective deals which run out at the end of June 2024 well before the end of the current season.
The process has already begun with both players, and in the case of Calhanoglu, things are quite far along now.
There is still more work to do in talks between Inter and Bastoni, the Gazzetta reports.
However, the Nerazzurri do not want to wait around, and according to the newspaper will immediately get moving to move the talks with Bastoni forward soon after those with Calhanoglu.
