Inter have already made contact with the lawyer representing striker Romelu Lukaku regarding the process of extending the Belgian’s loan from Chelsea.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s intention of to loan the striker for at least one more season, and that they will likely begin serious talks soon.
Inter have yet to firmly make the decision to extend Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea, but the sense is that that is very much the direction in which they are leaning, according to the Gazzetta.
In fact, the lawyer who represented Lukaku during his loan move from Chelsea to Inter last summer, Sebastien Ledure, has already been contacted.
According to the Gazzetta, the next steps in the process will likely be taken shortly after the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg clash with Porto later this month.
Inter are aiming to agree another paid loan deal with Chelsea for the 29-year-old, but at a lower fee than the €8 million sum from last summer, the Gazzetta reports.
