Inter are prepared to move for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard during the summer transfer window should he not extend his contract with the German champions.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 26-year-old would be a top target for the Nerazzurri to replace Milan Skriniar, but that it will depend on the outcome of his contract talks with Bayern.

Pavard’s situation in Bavaria is uncertain, as Bayern want to extend the Frenchman’s contract past the end of June 2024, but the player is uncertain and increasingly inclined towards seeking a new challenge.

Should Pavard decline any offers from his current club, then a summer exit would become very probable.

If this is to be on the cards, then Inter would be ready to move for the 2018 World Cup winner.

Pavard had already been a major target for the Nerazzurri towards the end of the January transfer window as a possible replacement if Milan Skriniar were to leave last month, and they would be prepared to resume their pursuit in the summer.
