Neither Nicolo Barella nor Romelu Lukaku will receive any fines for their on-pitch spat during the team’s Serie A draw away to Sampdoria on Monday.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who reported this afternoon that the club has decided not to impose any fines for the incident, and that there are no hard feelings lingering in the Nerazzurri locker room.

The flashpoint between Lukaku and Barella was perhaps the most high-profile instance in which the 26-year-old former Cagliari midfielder’s temper has cause some issues for the team on the pitch.

The midfielder had also gotten himself needlessly sent off with a reaction in Inter’s Champions League group stage clash with Real Madrid last season, a reaction which saw him suspended for both legs of the team’s round of sixteen tie against Liverpool.

That incident had seen Barella fined by Inter for an unprofessional moment which cost the team.

However, in this case, the club has decided against any fines for either the 26-year-old or for Lukaku, who had gestured and shouted at his teammate.

In any event, Mediaset report, the rest of the squad have moved on from the incident, and the players are aware that Barella meant no harm or disrespect, and that it is just his demeanour on the pitch.
