Inter wingback Robin Gosens is back in partial training ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Udinese over the weekend.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the German is hoping that he’ll be ready to be called up for Saturday’s match and that he is currently fit enough to complete a partial session with the rest of the squad.

Gosens started against Sampdoria in the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw at the Marassi on Monday, but the 28-year-old had to come off at halftime, as he had picked up a knock.

Reports after the match suggested that the problem for the former Atalanta wingback was a strain to his thigh.

However, the injury is not serious, and Gosens has been pushing to get fit in time to be available for the match against Udinese over the weekend.

It’s still touch and go whether Gosens will be called up against the Friulani, but the fact that he is back in partial training looks to be a positive sign.
