Inter defender Stefan de Vrij could start a second consecutive match for the Nerazzurri by appearing in the team’s starting eleven for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Udinese.
This according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Dutchman is in the running with Francesco Acerbi to start in the central position of Inter’s back three to face the Friulani tomorrow.
De Vrij has not always featured in Inter’s starting eleven this season, with Acerbi frequently having been the player favoured in the central role in the back three since his arrival on loan from Lazio on the final day of the summer transfer window.
However, de Vrij is hardly out of contention, and the 31-year-old former Lazio and Feyenoord player put in a solid performance against Sampdoria on Monday to reassert himself.
Accordingly, Tuttosport suggest, de Vrij is very much in contention to start against Udinese tomorrow.
