The San Siro will be completely sold out for Wednesday evening’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg match between Inter and Porto.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the stadium will be packed to full capacity, with an attendance of over 70,000.

Inter will play in the Champions League round of sixteen for the second time in as many seasons on Wednesday, and the excitement among fans is naturally high.

According to the Gazzetta, the tickets for the match have already sold out completely.

The newspaper notes, however, that the match will not be a record gate receipt for the Nerazzurri.

The reason for this is that the club decided to make the tickets somewhat cheaper than the ones for city rivals AC Milan’s match against Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Given that Inter fans have already had home matches against Napoli and Milan in recent weeks, the club decided that it would be placing too much of a financial burden on fans to raise the price of tickets for Wednesday’s match.
