Inter are continuing to wait for the response from Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram to their standing contract offer, though without much optimism.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s offer of a five-year deal for the 25-year-old has been on the table for some time, and they continue to await a response.
Thuram is a major target for Inter during the summer transfer window, but they are far from the only big European club aiming to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer when his contract with Gladbach expires.
The Nerazzurri have already made their offer to Thuram, but the player has yet to make a decision on his future.
According to the Gazzetta, the World Cup runner-up is still not close to deciding upon Inter despite some social media rumours, but the Nerazzurri continue to wait and see what his response to their offer will be.
The newspaper report that the Nerazzurri are not overly optimistic that Thuram will ultimately decide to accept their offer and join on a free transfer.
