Inter would no longer consider selling Marcelo Brozovic to be out of the question given that Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as an able replacement for him.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would likely listen to offers for the Croat in the summer as they believe that his absence could be made up for.

When Brozovic signed a contract extension until the end of June 2026 last spring, it was anticipated that he would be a player around whom the team would be built well into the future.

However, less than twelve months on from that extension, injuries have meant that Brozovic’s role in the team has been diminished significantly.

While at the time the extension had been seen as vital given that Brozovic was a player Inter looked unable to cope without, things have changed quite a bit.

Forced to do without their first-choice regista, Inter have played with Calhanoglu in the position, and the former AC Milan midfielder has thrived.

Accordingly, between the emergence of Calhanoglu in the deepest midfield position and the fact that Kristjan Asllani is only expected to grow into the position as well, Inter would likely listen to offers for Brozovic.
