Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu feels that there is no question that things will only get more difficult for the Nerazzurri in the second leg of their Champions League round of sixteen tie against Porto.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old stressed that the tie is only beginning despite the slender advantage gained in the first leg at the San Siro.

Inter had their fans behind them in the first leg against Porto yesterday, as they looked to be playing with the wind in their sails at times searching for a goal.

It was still not an easy match against a tough Porto team, as the Nerazzurri could only break through once, close to the end and after the Portuguese champions went down to ten men.

Porto will be just as tough in the second leg, and will be in front of their own fans, so Inter’s task will not be a straightforward one trying to defend their advantage.

“It was important to win, and we got the 1-0 victory, but we know it’s not over,” Calhanoglu said.

“We have to play away in Portugal, it will be more difficult.”

The midfielder noted that “We’re ahead in the tie, it’s good for us, it makes us more motivated.”
