Inter are hardly thinking about immediately changing coach from Simone Inzaghi, but they are keeping an eye on Bologna’s Thiago Motta as an option for the long-term future.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the 40-year-old is considered on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist for the future, and note that his contract with the Rossoblu runs until the end of June 2024.
Motta has been impressing with his work as Bologna coach so far this season.
So much has the former Italian international been lauded, in fact, that his name has been linked with bigger jobs in the media already.
Given that Motta was a midfielder for both Inter and Paris Saint-Germain during his playing days, the 40-year-old has been mooted as a potential future coach for both of those clubs.
As La Repubblica notes, the coach was specifically asked about links with the latter, and made clear in his response that he has no immediate plans to join PSG and is focused on his current position.
However, the newspaper reports, it is true that the former Nerazzurri midfielder is being considered by his old club in Italy as well.
