Inter’s performance in yesterday’s shock 1-0 loss away to Bologna in Serie A has been named as their worst of the entire season.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who argue that on no other occasion have the Nerazzurri looked as hopeless as they did at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Inter have endured some frustrating results this season, from a string of losses against direct rivals early in the season to listless draws away to Monza and Sampdoria since the return from the winter break.

An out-of-the-blue home loss to Empoli came after the Nerazzurri went down to ten men in the first leg as Milan Skriniar was sent off amid the off-the-pitch drama of the Slovakian’s decision not to extend his contract and to leave at the end of the season.

However, for the Corriere della Sera, none of these subpar performances were as bad as the one that Inter put in yesterday afternoon.

The Nerazzurri were lacklustre and out of joint in their passing all match, unable to find solutions or adjust to cope with a waterlogged pitch and windy conditions, and deserved nothing better than the loss that they took back to Milan with them, the newspaper argues.
