Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set to be rested during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match away to Spezia tomorrow evening.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old is likely to start on the bench in view of next week’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Porto.

Marcelo Brozovic is likely to start tomorrow at the base of the Nerazzurri’s midfield, with the Croat having been a second half substitute against Lecce last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Sky report that the likes of Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will take their place on either side of the Croat in the midfield trio, with Calhanoglu starting out on the bench as a substitute.

The broadcaster’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for tomorrow’s away trip to the Stadio Alberto Picco is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Gosens; Lukaku, Lautaro.
