Inter are confident that Alessandro Bastoni will be the next in line to agree terms on a contract extension after defender Stefan de Vrij and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that whilst there is still work to be done in negotiations between the Nerazzurri and Bastoni, the club feel that they are headed in the right direction.
It now looks as though Stefan de Vrij will extend his contract with Inter, after the Dutchman was reported to have said yes to the club’s offer of a new two-year contract.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu is reportedly also close to signing a new deal.
Neither of the pair have put pen to paper yet, but reports have suggested that both have fully agreed terms.
This situation is not quite the same with Bastoni, as there is still some distance between the 23-year-old’s demands and what Inter have offered to date.
However, the Gazzetta reports, the Nerazzurri feel that they will soon get there.
