Inter Milan transfer target Benjamin Pavard has reportedly returned to Bayern Munich training this morning.

The French defender is looking to finalize his transfer to the Nerazzurri as soon as possible.

So as we reported earlier today, the 27-year-old skipped training yesterday in an attempt to accelerate his move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

While Bayern’s official statement claimed that the player was suffering from an illness, many have doubted the story.

According to Bild journalist Nico Linner via FcInterNews, Pavard returned to training regularly with the rest of his Bayern teammates this morning.

Nevertheless, the source insists that 2018 World Cup winner is still eagerly awaiting his transfer to Inter.

The former Stuttgart defender joined Bayern in 2019. His current contract runs until June 2024.

Nevertheless, the player would like to embark on a new adventure with the Nerazzurri this season rather than lingering for another year in Germany. He has been plying his trade in the Bundesliga since 2016.

For their part, the Italian giants have been tracking Pavard for quite some time now. They already attempted to sign him last January but to no avail.

However, the Beneamata suddenly revived their interest in the Frenchman last week. They made rapid progress in the negotiations with both the club and the player.

Yet, the Bundesliga champions haven’t granted the defender the green light to join the Nerazzurri, potentially holding out for the arrival of a suitable replacement.
