The Nerazzurri beat Red Bull Salzburg in their third match of the group stage.
This took Inter onto seven points from three matches played. That is certainly a substantial foothold to try and get to the knockouts for the third season running.
Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu were on the scoresheet.
