Inter Milan pair Marcus Thuram and Carlos Augusto are at risk of missing out on the upcoming Serie A home clash against Genoa.

According to Calciomercato, Thuram is still out of the group, while Augusto suffered a calf injury.

Marcus Thuram suffered a knock in a 2-1 home win against Fiorentina last Monday.

Therefore, he started on the bench in Sunday’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.

Meanwhile, Carlos Augusto came off the bench but sustained a calf problem during the match.

Thuram has yet to recover from an ankle problem.

Indeed, he trained separately from the squad today and will need a few more days to recover.

On the other hand, Augusto came out battered from Sunday’s trip to Turin.

As such, he could skip Genoa’s visit to Giuseppe Meazza this weekend.

With Inter trailing Napoli by two points ahead of March’s top-table six-pointer, injuries to star players don’t bode well.

However, Simone Inzaghi hopes both will soon return to the fold.
