Inter Milan cannot call upon Lautaro Martinez for tonight’s Coppa Italia semi-final showdown against bitter rivals AC Milan.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Argentine striker is out with a muscle injury and will watch the game from the stands.

Lautaro Martinez picked up a minor fitness problem against Atalanta on the stroke of the international break.

Therefore, he had to withdraw from the national team early, hoping to accelerate his recovery.

However, despite his best effort, the 27-year-old will miss tonight’s clash at the San Siro.

Coach Simone Inzaghi will likely use Joaquin Correa as Lautaro’s replacement tonight.

Indeed, the forgotten forward will partner Marcus Thuram in attack despite Marko Arnautovic’s resurrection.

Meanwhile, the ex-Racing club hopes to regain full fitness for the upcoming Serie A game against Parma.

Despite his turbulent campaign, Lautaro has recently been decisive for Inter, scoring some vital goals.

His absence is a huge loss for the Nerazzurri, but Inzaghi should still have enough firepower at his disposal this evening.
