Inter Milan have reportedly rekindled interest in Paris Saint-Germain castaway Marco Asensio to replace Mehdi Taremi.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Asensio’s name is back in fashion as he could be available on favorable terms.

Marco Asensio spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

However, after failing to secure a permanent transfer to Birmingham, the Spaniard will leave Paris for another destination.

Meanwhile, Les Parisiens are ready to sell the former Real Madrid star for as low as €10 million.

Despite Asensio’s troubled time in Paris, he could be a decent replacement for Mehdi Taremi.

Indeed, the Spaniard’s versatility enables him to cover multiple positions in attack, which aligns with Inter’s requirements.

Yet, there’s an issue. Asensio earns around €8m net per season.

Therefore, he’ll likely have to take a significant pay cut to join the Nerazzurri.

Furthermore, Inter aren’t alone in the race for the 29-year-old, with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce also in the picture.
