Inter Milan and Atalanta remain at odds as the former waits for Ademola Lookman to help them complete the transfer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri need the forward to force his exit.

La Dea’s stance has been clear.

Indeed, they’ve slapped a €50 million price tag on their prized asset and are sticking to it.

Meanwhile, Inter offered €40m and cannot go much further unless they raise funds from player sales.

Known as stubborn negotiators, Atalanta squeezed every penny from Juventus for Teun Koopmeiners last summer.

Like Ademola Lookman, the Dutchman wanted to leave Bergamo, but talks took much longer than expected.

Therefore, Cristian Chivu’s men need the 27-year-old to put pressure on Atalanta to sanction a deal.

However, they’re willing to increase their opening bid slightly.

Indeed, the San Siro giants are ready to add a few million to soften Atalanta’s firm stance.

As for the player, he has already accepted Inter’s contract offer worth around €4.5m net per season.
