Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly keen to tie sought-after wingback Carlos Augusto down to a new long-term contract.

According to Matteo Moretto via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri are considering offering the Brazilian a new deal.

Signed from Monza in the summer of 2023, Carlos Augusto has gradually worked his way up in the pecking order.

Furthermore, his versatility has made him a valuable asset for Inter.

Indeed, the 26-year-old can cover several positions at the back, though he prefers playing on the wing.

Augusto’s current deal expires in 2028, yet Inter are already considering offering him fresh terms.

Indeed, the versatile defender has enjoyed a superb start to the season.

New manager Cristian Chivu has shown plenty of faith in Augusto, handing him two consecutive starts in Serie A.

Moreover, the player has repaid that trust with a goal against Juventus. He also forced Tarik Muharemovic’s own goal against Sassuolo.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid tried to sign Augusto in the summer.

Therefore, Inter are already preparing a contract extension to secure his services long-term.
