Inter Milan talisman Marcus Thuram faces at least two weeks on the sidelines after slumping to a thigh injury against Slavia Prague.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Ticus will skip France’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Iceland.

Cristian Chivu had to take his star forward off in the second half of Tuesday’s home win over Slavia Prague due to injury.

Though Marcus Thuram had hoped to immediately return to the pitch, the medical team confirmed he needs rest.

Therefore, he will not be in contention for Saturday’s home clash against Cremonese.

Thuram’s availability for Inter’s mouth-watering Serie A showdown against Roma after the international break is in doubt.

Furthermore, the 28-year-old risks missing Inter’s next Champions League match against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

However, he will probably be ready for an early Scudetto six-pointer against Napoli.

In the meantime, Chivu will rely on Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito to fill in for the French superstar.

Indeed, one of them will partner up with Lautaro Martinez in attack this weekend.
