After Inter Milan delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Cremonese, Cristian Chivu has decided to reward his squad with a well-deserved rest.

According to reports from FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri coach has granted his players two and a half days off, with training set to resume on Tuesday afternoon at Appiano Gentile.

The decision comes after a run of strong performances that has seen Inter regain confidence and consistency across Serie A and the Champions League.

On Saturday night, an impressive 4-1 win over high-flying Cremonese was marked by a spectacular display from Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Those not called up for international duty will return to the training ground next week to prepare for Friday’s friendly against Atletico Madrid.

The match, in Libya, will serve as an opportunity to maintain rhythm during the international break.

It’s a deserved pause for Chivu’s men after producing one of their most convincing displays of the season so far.
