Inter wing-back Federico Dimarco reflected on the Nerazzurri’s crucial 2-0 win over Lazio, a result that sent Cristian Chivu’s side back to the top of the Serie A table and praised teammate Ange-Yoan Bonny as a ‘great signing.’
Speaking to DAZN after being named Player of the Match, Dimarco discussed his assist for Ange-Yoan Bonny’s goal.
He also talked about the team’s reaction following a difficult spell in the match.
“We knew it was an important moment, we were under some pressure, and that goal broke the game open,” he said, with quotes via FCInterNews.
“I’m happy for Angy, but today it was vital to win after the other results.”
Inter 2-0 Lazio – Dimarco Full Of Praise For Bonny
The Inter academy graduate also praised Bonny’s work ethic and mentality since joining the squad.
“He really works hard,” Dimarco said. “He came in quietly but he’s strong and can still grow a lot. We’ve made a great signing.”
Asked if Chivu’s Inter are being underestimated, Dimarco remained focused on the bigger picture.
“I’ll let others say that,” he smiled. “We just keep working. We’re top right now, but that counts for little, the season is still long.”
The victory keeps Inter’s momentum intact heading into the international break and sets the stage for the next crucial chapter, the Milan derby.
