Inter Milan will reportedly not accelerate their pursuit of Sassuolo center-back Tarik Muharemovic until the end of the season.

According to the Italian media via FCInterNews, the 22-year-old defender remains an exciting option for the Nerazzurri.

The San Siro giants are preparing for a major overhaul of their defense.

Indeed, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij are likely to leave the club next summer.

Therefore, the 20-time Italian champions have set their sights on several players, including Tarik Muharemovic.

In addition to Juventus’ 50% sell-on clause, Sassuolo are reluctant to let their star defender leave midway through the campaign.

As such, Inter must remain patient and wait until the end of the season to open talks with the Neroverdi.

Meanwhile, Juventus and Inter have yet to open talks for Davide Frattesi.

Despite the Turin side’s genuine interest in the 26-year-old midfielder, they’ve yet to contact the Nerazzurri over a potential deal.

Furthermore, it’s hard to expect the Bianconeri to match Inter’s €30 million asking price for the former Sassuolo man.
