Inter Milan are set to take the field against Bologna with a line-up very similar to the one that secured a key win away at Atalanta last weekend.

Italian newspapers are largely aligned in their reporting, suggesting that Cristian Chivu has no intention of making wholesale changes for Sunday night’s Serie A fixture at San Siro.

The approach reflects both continuity and trust in a group that delivered a strong performance on December 28.

According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, a few marginal doubts remain. In defence, Yann Bisseck is competing with Stefan de Vrij for a starting role.

In midfield, Piotr Zielinski and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are battling for the same position.

Meanwhile in attack there is a question mark over Marcus Thuram and Francesco Pio Esposito.

Despite those uncertainties, the prevailing expectation is that Chivu will rely on his trusted core once again.

Any meaningful rotation is more likely to arrive in midweek.

Indeed, when Inter face Parma and the congested schedule demands fresher legs.
