Serie A leaders Inter Milan will reportedly go all-out to sign Atalanta’s rising star, Marco Palestra, at the end of the season.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will not sign a new wingback in January.

Denzel Dumfries’ injury has left a massive hole on the right wing.

Furthermore, marquee summer signing Luis Henrique has failed to live up to his €24 million price tag.

Therefore, Cristian Chivu had hoped to lure Joao Cancelo back to San Siro.

However, the 31-year-old star is on the verge of rejoining Barcelona.

Marco Palestra has been one of the best-performing Serie A wingbacks this season.

Indeed, the 20-year-old has flourished in the early stages of his loan stint at Cagliari.

Yet, Atalanta have slapped an eye-watering €40 million price tag on their prize asset.

Therefore, Inter cannot afford to pursue the Italian youngster this winter.

Things might change next summer, especially if Dumfries were to cut ties with the Nerazzurri.
