Inter Milan could sign PSV Eindhoven veteran Ivan Perisic to replace the underperforming Luis Henrique.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Croatian star could return to San Siro at the tail-end of the winter transfer window.
It’s no secret that the Nerazzurri are keen to bring Ivan Perisic back to Serie A amid Denzel Dumfries’ lengthy layoff.
However, the Peasants have been reluctant to discuss the 36-year-old’s departure.
Still, their stance could change if they fail to reach the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.
Inter Milan Could Sign Ivan Perisic to Replace Luis Henrique
Despite being in the autumn of his playing career, Perisic would be a decent coup for Cristian Chivu’s side.
Needless to say, he would only be a short-term solution.
Nonetheless, he would also be an immediate upgrade on Luis Henrique, who has faltered this season.
Indeed, Chivu replaced the former Marseille winger already in the first half during Inter’s 6-2 rout of Pisa on Friday.
That perhaps best illustrates the 24-year-old’s rough patch in Italy.
