Inter Milan faced Serie A title rivals AC Milan without several key first-team stars, including Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, Alessandro Bastoni, who took a knock in the Milan derby, has already returned to full fitness.

Cristian Chivu couldn’t count on his starting strikers on Sunday, with Marcus Thuram expected to return to action soon.

Indeed, a flu stopped the Frenchman from featuring in Sunday’s showdown at San Siro.

However, he will be at Chivu’s disposal for the upcoming home clash against Atalanta.

The same applies to Bastoni, who limped off the pitch last weekend after a nasty collision with Adrien Rabiot.

When Inter Milan Stars Will Return from Injury

Though Thuram and Bastoni are likely to be available for Saturday’s game against La Dea, Chivu will not be able to call upon Lautaro Martinez.

Indeed, El Toro is still recovering from a calf injury he suffered in the first leg of Inter’s Champions League playoff tie against Bodo/Glimt.

Furthermore, the Argentine striker has set his sights on returning for Inter’s trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina on March 22.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu could also return for that fixture after sustaining a minor muscle injury against Como.
