Inter Milan center-back Alessandro Bastoni is reportedly at risk of missing Sunday’s high-stakes Serie A clash against Como.

According to L’Interista, the 26-year-old continues to struggle with a minor knee injury.

Cristian Chivu’s side returned to winning ways in Serie A last weekend with a 5-2 thrashing of Roma at San Siro.

However, the 45-year-old manager had to take Alessandro Bastoni off just before the hour mark as a precaution.

Indeed, Matteo Darmian took Bastoni’s place in the final 30 minutes of the game.

Therefore, it’s still uncertain whether the Italian star will be available for selection this weekend.

Inter have been without Yann Bisseck since the tail-end of the international break.

With the German out injured, Chivu brought Francesco Acerbi back to the starting lineup against Roma.

Furthermore, the Italian veteran is likely to retain his place in the back three on Sunday.

However, Bastoni may not be at Chivu’s disposal, forcing the Nerazzurri boss to ring further changes to his backline.

Meanwhile, Carlos Augusto, who served a one-game suspension against Roma, is a viable candidate to fill the vacancy.

Indeed, the Brazilian wingback has often deputized for the former Atalanta man this season.
