At Cagliari there is no intention to let the most precious players go because, according to Corriere dello Sport, a club as ambitious as the Sardinian side can not separate themselves from the most talented and strong players. The Cagliari Sporting Director Giovanni Rossi has more than once stated that no one of their jewels will leave the squad in January even if there could be some important offers, especially on Nicola Barella. The half-winger is appreciated by a lot of the Serie A teams and after Napoli and Roma there is also Juventus investigating what opportunities they have and Inter is also trying to put themselves in a good position. There is currently an Inter offer of 18 million € plus bonuses on the table , bonuses that would bring the total sum to around 20 million €. But that is not enough for Cagliari who wants at least 30 million € for Barella, a number that would allow the club to reinforce their squad significantly.
