According to today’s edition of TuttoSport, Inter continues with the idea of bringing in Gerard Deulofeo of Barcelona, mostly in order to bring some competition for Inter star Ivan Perisic who is in need for a wake-up call. The Croat has, since his hat-trick against Chievo, December 3rd, had a tough time on the pitch. According to evil rumours this is becaus Perisic’s head is already focused on this year’s World Cup in Russia and his collaboration with Marcelo Brozovic. The arrival of Deulofeo could shake things up and get Perisic on the right path once again, and the Spanish player has rejected interest from Napoli where he thinks the competition is too hard. Inter coach Luciano Spalletti likes the player and wanted to bring him to Roma, Barcelona wants an obligatory purchase deal on 30 million € to be atttached to the transfer and knows that Inter can not match that, giving the Catalan club some time to find better alternatives before they have to sit down with Inter.
