The big four teams of the Serie A have started to work on the transfer market in order to secure tomorrow’s big players today, and they are not only working with January and this summer as their time line.

For Inter this means that they have entered the fight for players like Verdi, Cristante and Darmian while keeping the track that leads to Gerard Deulofeu warm. With the arrival of Brazilian player Coutinho, everything points to Gerard Deulofeu leaving Barcelona, if not in January then definitely during this summer transfer window. Here are the negotiations currently going on according to La Gazzetta dello Sport:

Verdi – Napoli is putting pressure both on Bologna as well as the player. Inter has been working hard on getting Verdi to Milan on a loan deal, but no team has gotten any attention from Bologna. Beware of Roma whos is lurking around the corner.

Deulofeu – Everything points to Coutinho leaaving Liverpool for Barcelona in January, so the Catalans are willing to sell the former Milan player for 20 million €. For Barcelona, a loan deal is out of the question. But that does not stop the big Italian teams to make moves. Roma tried it a year ago and is still interested, but the most in-depth contacts have been made by Inter who sees the opportunity to aquire another quality winger to their squad. In this case the lurking team in the background is Napoli, who has greater economic possibilities than Inter and Roma.

Darmian – Sometimes they come back. José Mourinho uses the fullback sporadically, but still wants to keep him. But half of the Serie A teams are in line to get the ex-Milan player return to Italy. Juventus, Inter and Roma all made a move last year and have re-opened the case for this January but also here Napoli is the team that is closest.

Cristante – The Atalanta midfielder is having a great Serie A season so far. After the deals with Gagliardini and Bastoni, it is obvious that the Zhang family have a great relationship with the Percassi family and a dialogue for Cristante has been going on for a while now. But Atalanta is not in a hurry, especially since Juventus has started to move for the player’s signature and the interest from Roma should not be neglected, especially not if one of their midfielders leave during the summer transfer window.
