All major Italian sports newspapers writes about the recent statements of José Iribarren, Nico Gaitan’s agent, who yesterday opened up for a possible transfer to Inter for his client.

La Gazzetta dello Sport explains: “Gaitan is an offensive winger who also can play the role as a trequartista. A player that has been on Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio’s radar for quite some time now. The only problem is that Gaitan, who is Argentinian, is a non-EU citizen and Inter has only one position left, a position most likely already taken by Ramires as soon as a transfer from Jiangsu Suningnisn completed. But Gaitan is supposed to receive an EU passport within short, according to Iribarren. But it will be hard to get that passport before the end of this month. In the meanwhile Ausilio and Sabatini has offered Joao Mario to Atletico Madrid with the hope of bringing Belgian player Carrasco. However, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has said no to the deal.”

Inter is trying to get rid of Joao Mario as well as Marcelo Brozovic who was offered to Sevilla in exchange for Argentinian player Carlos Joaquin Correa. But the Spanish club prefers to send Franco Vasquez to Milano, but Spalletti insists on Correa or Nolito. At the same time Borussia Dortmund’s Schürrle remains an alternative.
