Inter is working meticulously to add quality to their squad, through free agent signings. In addition to Bernard, from Shakhtar, there are many more names in the notebooks of the Nerazzurri executives.

Gazzetta dello Sport sums everything up: “Domenico Criscito has not withdrawn his desire to leave Zenit this Summer and while Genoa are considered his ideal move, Inter are still very interested. The alternative to Criscito, is the Juventus left-back Kwadwo Asamoah, who is currently still in talks with Juventus about a renewal but both Inter and Napoli remain options. Finally, Stefan De Vrij and Inter have reportedly finalised an agreement and the deposition of the contract is down to the last details.”

These opportunist signings, come after it was revealed that Inter would still be restricted by Financial Fair Play during the Summer. Should Inter qualify for the Champions League, it would grant them a substantial capital injection which should allow them to buy a few more players alongside those mentioned above, at least. If not, the Nerazzurri may have to sell one of their star players to rebuild a squad capable of competing in the competition and domestically.
