It was Suso’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, who proposed the player to Inter and Inter’s reply was along the lines of: “We like Suso, but that kind of deal would have to include players being used as part payment and those will be decided by us and not by others mentioning names like Brozovic.” At least this is what Milano-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report today.

According to the report Inter planned on including Antonio Candreva in the deal, but the Italian international winger declined the transfer. However the Gazzetta claim that the Nerazzurri’s interest in Suso is real reporting that: “in this story there are of course a couple of fixed points. First, that Inter likes Suso a lot and has been doing so for quite some time now. Also Spalletti likes the Spanish player and his characteristics which reminds him of an ex-Roma player named Salah. Secondly, if Suso’s name can up in the meeting between his agent and Suso, this means that the attacker’s future is all but clear.”

Furthermore the paper states that “at the moment, Suso has a €38 million price tag on him, or even more depending on what team that approaches him. Should that be a club from abroad this would facilitate the negotiations as his redemption clause is set at €38 million. If instead an Italian club comes calling things will become more difficult. That clause does not apply to Napoli, the first of three Italian clubs to approach the player, as well as any other Italian club, as written in the contract Suso signed with Milan in September.”
