Inter continue to press for Sime Vrsaljko and their bid to sign the Croatian has been boosted by the fact that he himself wants a return to Serie A, Corriere dello Sport report.

In the case of Vrsaljko, Inter is willing to immediately pay €5 million to loan him and there is cautious optimism around the player on Inter’s part due to the fact that he is pressing for a return to the Serie A, where he has previously played for Genoa and more recently Sassuolo.

When it comes to the Manchester United player Matteo Darmian, an alternative to Vrsaljko, the Rome based newspaper report it will be a difficult transfer to complete. The Red Devils are hoping to raise €19 million through the sale of the former Torino man which would see them make back exactly what they paid for him three years ago. The full back receives a €2 million annual salary at United, something that is well within Inter’s range.
