According to Tuttosport, the words uttered at yesterday’s press conference ahead of tonight’s friendly with Lugano all but confirm that manager Luciano Spalletti is set to sign a new contract with the club.

“The man from Certaldo has become even more of an Inter icon. The love between the two parties (Inter and Luciano Spalletti), is so strong that a renewal of the contract, still to be signed, was made “official” by the coach in the presence of Alessandro Antonello (Chief Executive Officer) and Giovanni Gardini (Chief Football Administrator), both present in the front row at the press conference together with Luca Danovaro (Chief Marketing Officer) at the first public release since joining the company.”

The Turin based newspaper go on to report the finer details of the deal and report that Spalletti will sign a two year extension to his current contract and will now be under contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.
