Tommaso Rocchi is becoming more familiar with Inter and in an interview with Radio Sei he commented once more on its move from Lazio: “It was an important decision, one that was based on the fact that I still want to play football. Already in the beginning of the season, during the summer’s transfer window, there were negotiations, but nothing came of them because I did not want to leave. I wanted to continue playing in the capital, then I did not get a chance to play in the Europa League when I was not included in the list of available players and even in the league, I got very little playing time. I respect the coach’s decision, even though all the striker suffered by the fact that the team played with only one striker. I was aware that at the end of the season my contract would expire so I decided to go to Inter, one of the most important clubs on the football scene. In the future I hope to return in a leadership role, perhaps in the youth section. The will is there, both from me and the club, and the day I hang up my boots, we’ll certainly talk.”

On January 20, Inter flies to Rome to meet Roma. For Rocchi it will be lika a derby… “A goal by me in the upcoming match against Roma? The match is January 20, I know that already. Let’s hope so…”
