Italy boss Cesare Prandelli has announced the XI that will start against Holland on Wednesday – although he does have a doubt in attack.

The Azzurri will begin the Amsterdam encounter with a 4-3-3 that will contain Milan’s Mario Balotelli and Stephan El Shaarawy.

The trident will be completed by either Lazio’s Antonio Candreva or Bologna attacking midfielder Alessandro Diamanti.

“I have just one doubt and that is whether to play Candreva or Diamanti on the right,” stated the Coach.

“It will depend on whether Candreva has fully recovered from his illness and on how Holland will line-up.”

Cagliari’s Davide Astori has beaten Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia for a place in the back-four alongside Juventus’ Andrea Barzagli.

Italy XI v Holland: Buffon; Abate, Barzagli, Astori, Santon; De Rossi, Pirlo,Montolivo; Candreva [or Diamanti], Balotelli, El Shaarawy.
