In Argentina, Ruben Botta is the player of the moment. He was enchanting in the Copa Libertadores with his Tigre, and led them to the playoffs with two goals, one of which was fantastic. In an interview with Clarin, Botta spoke about his current form and his future: “I’m happy with how things are going. This is the best moment of my career, I have never been as good as I am now. I want to give my best for Tigre and my idea is to go down in history with this team and if we get to the final of the South American Cup maybe we can surprise again. I’m going to Inter? I know I could go and play with many champions in the near future, but I’m not thinking about that now. I’m focused on Tigre and now I’m just thinking about defending my current club’s colors.”
Bottas magical handling of the ball and his dribbling leads many to talk positively about him and Ruben explained that “I am passionate about maybe making a ‘Sombrerito’, something magical or anything else that makes it possible to score. I can say that almost every move comes naturally to me, I don’t think about it. Some don’t understand it. I have no other intentions, I have to play that way and I always try to do the best for my team. This is what I do.”
